Hello people,

I had some trouble with writing and because time flies, i am way behind schedule. For the moment the story is from April on and a new story will come Soon!!

Enjoy reading!

"Rome" The place to be, you would say right?
Well from my point of view, not really. My preferences go to other cities.

Yes Rome has nice, beautiful, enormous, old historical statues, fountains, churches and buildings, not to forget about the paintings, but everyone is in a rush, even though they are not. In restaurants they are to proud of their own food and the hospitality is way below standards. My opinion!

I stayed long enough, to know and to experience that they rip you off big time!
For everyone who will visit Rome or Italy in general, take your paracetamol, ibuprofen, hayfever pills with you, because you'll pay x times more for it.
In the Netherlands i can find paracetamols in the supermarket for 0,30 to 1,29 euro, my friend payed 7euro for it. Ridicillious amount!

Any way beside, the rush in the city, the overprized products, the annoying sales men on the street and the macho guys, who don't accept no for an answer, i also have good memories of Rome. It's mainly because of the great people i have meet and catched up with.
Allesandro hostel was the place i stayed in. Not the place to be, that's a different story ;-) I got some weird bites, so i switched rooms and therefor ended up with some great people.
Henry a militair from Texas, Kit an ambitious young English guy and Carlos a very shy guy from Brasil. We went out eating and visited a pub in the night. I had a really good time!!

I also had a lovely time with Claire, my friend who came along with her parents, from Ireland. We stayed in an very expensive hotel for 2 nights, where i slept perfect! We wandered around the city and sightseens and went for dinner every night. Plus Henry treated us every day for ice cream. Thank you Henry!

The memory that i'll keep in mind forever, is that i got swinged around in the square in front of the Vatican, by night. Thank you Ivan!

I also had the best tiramisu ever at Pompi!!

And on the Piazza del Popolo square i saw a man making water bells for children. He really did it for fun and he was doing a good job, because he made the children happy. Where as the parents were smiling too. It's an easy game outside, very cheap and everyone has a good time. This is how every childhood should be.

After Rome i went up to the dolomites, to do some more volunteer work. From summer with 26 degrees, i ended up in wintertime with -4, brrrrrr brrrrr. ;-)
Sadly enough it didn't work out, due to private issues, so i left after 2,5 weeks. It was an experience, i hope i never experience again!
The surroundings were beautiful!! So was it that in one day i would have spring, autumn and winter. So amazing! Col di Rocca, the place i was is 1200metres above sealevel, and very nearby Alleghe and the highest dangerous mountain to climb on. Of course i forgot the name. Hahaha
In the time being there i met Isis, a woman from France. We got along very well and with the two of us, we hitch hiked from Alleghe to Belluno, to catch the train to Padova, where we would be couchsurfing. It was a last minute call, and i want to thank them for helping us out on short notice. Thank you all!

I am in Denmark now, place to be Stensbaek, not near Copenhagen, but the website doesn't recognise my small town.

Write soon!! And see you soon aswell!!

    Hallo Lai,
