Where shall I start writing……. Hmmm.
It was my day off and strange enough I was early up. Not like normally, when I would turn around a couple of times, no I was awake and stared out of the window. Blue sky…. Blue sky!!! Got out of bed, took a shower and was ready for breakfast. Ate at an easy time my breakfast and got my bag out of the room.
My trip started. I was thinking by myself where I would go?? Hmmm, not the same route as last time. No this time I would go off the road sooner. So I did. I start walking through the forest. Not deep yet, cause I just started my trip. The weather was so nice, so beautiful that I didn’t care about the couple of dark clouds coming my way. Who cares, they would flow over, right???
Any way, a couple of raindrops, couldn’t destroy my day. So first in the forest I found a big nests. It was so massive, that I curled myself and walked superfast underneath it. But my curiosity got myself straight back behind the tree where the nest was build in. Such a huge nest. Which bird, breed in there??? I’m going to climb the tree and have a look I said to myself. I really wanted to have a look, but something in me, said it was wrong to climb the tree, so my fear to get in the tree, or to get not in the tree overloaded me and I stopped. I just took a couple of photos and moved on.
The forest began to open itself into a field. A field, I hadn’t seen before. I couldn’t recognise anything. So I just walked to it and then I saw this plant. I don’t have a name for it, but they were small in height and small in thickness and on the end of the steel a small dead flower. They were fascinating. So I took photos from below, so on the picture they look huge and large. But they are so tiny.
“If you look close to the flower on the end, then you can see with some fantasy monkey heads upside down. I’ll show you a picture later, and you can see for yourself”. I walked further in the field, what began to be a little drastic and muddy. But hey, who cares about the shoes. Suddenly I saw some more rare plants and then I saw it, it were cranberry plants. Woehoe, I found cranberry’s again!! I photographed myself lying in the field and tried to take a good picture, but they were no good. I picked a bag full of cranberry’s and headed my way to the dunes.
In the dunes, I found a small honey bee on my path. It was so cute, that I took a bunch of photo’s of it. It was just holding itself to two canes and because it didn’t moved in the first place, I thought it was dead. So I began to play with it. Holding the grass upside down and moving it forward, till the honey bee moved it self and tried to find the same position it was sleeping in. In the beginning I was concerned about other honey bees, coming after me, but soon enough that was gone. I shot some other great pictures and walked further through the dunes. At one point it was very steep, so I had to go down, before I could get up again. Suddenly at that point the Philonthus Addendus was there in front of me. This time it was the small version. I recognised it straight away and I jump right in the sand, next to the insect and took photo’s of it. Strange enough it didn’t move a centimetre, like the devil coach horse did the other day. It was just there, not moving. Like all the creatures would do that day.
Lucky me!
When I’m walking, I’m just not stopping. I’m walking slow or fast, up and down. Sometimes I’m even dancing around. When I’m walking, I feel free. Sometimes I’m tired and want to sit down, but I see no special place, no nice view, and then I’m just walking further. So today was no exception. I walked
During my walk, I was picking fruit from the trees and bushes. The apples tasted delicious, as like the blackberry and the rose hip. The cranberry was not yet fully developed to eat. So they tasted absolutely bitter and soar, bleeeh.
Any way it was a really good day! A beautiful day till about 4 o’clock. It began to rain. I was already on my way back to the village, but still had to go 8 kilometres. Thankfully the rain came from behind, and I had the wind with me, so I only got wet from behind and that was fine by me. When I got home eventually, dinner was already finished, so for me the option to eat out. What would it be tonight??? Mmmmm.
A pizza? Yes I would go to restaurant Oystende. The main entrance looked poor. At the entrance there was no one who said anything to me. Straight away I recognised a girl and asked for a table for one. She didn’t understand me, or didn’t want to listen and out of nowhere before I even had said the word pizza, she asked me if I wanted a pizza take away.
Eventually I did got a table for one. The large photo’s on the wall were beautiful, but I felt anything accept home or welcome. The place looked old and so poor. The furniture, carpeting, tables and floor were so old fashioned , the fake flowers were also there and there were numbers on the table, like the waitress could not remember those 5 tables that stood in the restaurant. So ridiculous, it’s was terrible!! I felt like a tourist in the wrong place.
Imagine that your in a pub, with a drunken man lying over the bar and a sexual frustrated feminine dancer, who’s trying to amuse the drunken man, but can’t get any satisfaction, so she’s coming to YOU!!
Finally when I got my pizza, the terrible feeling to sit there a second longer disappeared. Pizza 12 Quattro Formaggio. The pizza tasted fine, but after 10 minutes after I ordered it, it was served. The pizza crust looked like a pizza from the oven, but it was not crunchy. The cheeses were also not crunchy but they were melted all the way. Oh gosh, would it be a microwave pizza???!!!
During dinner there were a lot of conversations going on. Even though they were talking in the kitchen, we could all hear them in the restaurant. The place was to small, to noisy, to simple and to awkward to come by your own. I had to get out as fast as I could. So in 40 minutes I was outside and in front of the snackbar to get a milkshake.
What a disaster………. but I guess I also had to experience this on the island.

Lai :
Hey Mom,
No I just finished the story, that's why i posted the date with it.
I wrote half the story the 15th of September, then I forgot it. And last week, when I was cleaning up my computer, I found the story again and finished it. Of Course I wanted to make it a funny story again, so it took me a bit longer then a day.
I'm taking my backpack with me, cause I have a lot of clothes with me and a lot of cranberry's too. Maybe you don't need to come and pick me up in January. Just cleaned up my room, it really looks bright and shiny.
I have vacation!!! I really need it!!
See ya tomorrow!!
