You all missed my stories I guess, so here's just a small update from the past. I'm going back in time.................
On the 7th of February Lena and I waved Christina goodbye. I would leave the same day, but a couple of hours later. So when it was time for me to leave, Lena and Fabian waved me goodbye. It was a sad goodbye, but with a smile, because it was time for me to go on to a new adventure.
I left Rainbow beach and was on my way to Airlie Beach, but I had a stop for 3 hours in Hervey Bay. So after 2 hours in the bus, we stopped at Hervey Bay. When I stepped out of the bus, someone was waving at me. When I had a good look, I saw that it was Christina. Christina walked 45 minutes to have some sparetime with me, before i would leave again. It was such a surprise!!! For an hour we walked around the shopping centre, it was nice. At 21.30pm the bus left Hervey Bay and our first break was at 23.00pm. I ate my pasta I made the day before. It was delicious! At 02.45am we had a short stop again and at 07.00 in the morning we had our last stop. At 07.00 in the morning i finished my delicious pasta, where the rest of the passengers were eating bread or yoghurt with fruit. On the 8th of February at 09.30am I arrived in Airlie Beach. We had driven 980km. Beaches of backpackers was the place to be for the next 2 nights. The first day in Airlie Beach I didn't really do much then walking around for a bit and trying to stay dry. The weather wasn't that good, a lot of showers and then out of nowhere the sun came out. Pretty shitty day! At 13.00pm I checked in, in an 8 mixed beddorm at the first floor, not to bad. the people in my room where nice, so in the evening me, a scottish guy and a norwegian girl joined a pubcrawl. We paid 30 dollars to join a bbq, get 5 standards drink, go to 3 bars and get free entrance to 2 nightclubs and free slices of pizza. I ws drinken wodka just the whole night and danced around with the 25 others who had joined the pubcrawl. It was a fun night and I slept great!
The next day I woke up at 09.00am, pretty late for me, but compare to the others I was fit and well for a walk. The weather seemed to be better, so I walked to Cannonvale Beach. When I got there, darkclouds came along and rain began to drip on me. The mainroad and shelters where to far away, so I tried to stay dry under the trees. It worked for a while, but when heavy rain came down, the trees couldn't give me any shelter at all. So I got wet all the way. I waited a bit and then walked back to the mainroad, where I entered Fat Frog Cafe. I was hungry and didn't wanted to walk 1,5hour back to Airlie Beach through the rain, so I ate breakfast and lunch. As breakfast I ate a chickenwrap and drank a chai latte. As lunch I ate a huge rainbow cake with jelly beans. Wow it was so sweet and good!! Because I was so bored and the rain kept on going I ate it all, i was stuffed till the belly!!! Delicious that it was though!
The 10th of February I checked out, because I was going on a Whitsunday's Island trip. Together with the Norwegian girl I had breakfast at Harry's. Just across the road from Beaches of Backpackers. At Harry's I ate an Australian Breakfast. 3 fried eggs, two toasted slices of bread with butter, one sausage and 3 pieces of bacon with a chai latte. Holy Moly it was enough ;-). Because I had shown a picture from the rainbow cake to B, she wanted to have one too. So we walked all the way to the Fat Frog Cafe to eventually share a rainbow cake. Well i can tell you, that I was even more stuffed!!! I would float in the sea.....
At 14.00pm we said goodbye to each other, and I went on a boattrip to South Molle Island. South Molle Island was beautiful, the rooms were nice, the beds and bathrooms were good and the staff was really friendly.
I didn't like the captain of the boat though, he was rude and he thought he was funny, but he wasn't funny at all. Nobody of the 45 people laughed on any of his jokes, so that's a pity. The tour wasn't really good, but I was glad that the Island was beautiful. I went for a small walk when we arrived, but came back after 15 minutes, because on my way I run into a spider. A massive green spider with huge black skinny legs. Really I was so glad, that i walked with my head up, otherwise it would be in my face. Wow!!! Of course the spider was in the middle of the path, so there was no way I could go through or around it. Any way, the spider gave me chickenbumps, so I walked back as fast as I could and jumped in the swimmingpool. The next day we went to White Haven Beach. The beach was beautiful from the look out. All the green and blue colours with the white sand it was amazing. On the beach itself was quite boring, so I found some amazing trees where i took some selfies. Just hanging my camera on one of the brances, running back to a spot and then smile!!!! In the afternoon we went to a snorkel spot. For a beginner like me, it was ok, but for a licensed diver it was shit. I saw quite a few fishes and also the rainbow fish. The exact name is not rainbow fish though, but you'll understand me if I say I saw a rainbow fish right??? I was swimming through a school of fishes, I was watching them eating from the coral and plants. I could even hear them eating the coral. I thought it was pretty lovely down there, except for the dead and grey coral.
The last day we walked the Spion walk. It was a 40 minute walk through several sceneries and landscapes. We had a view over north and south Molle Island. After that walk, an Asian guy and I walked to Mount Jeffrey's. It was another 40 minutes walk and on the top we had a 360degrees view. We had forest, the ocean, dream island, North Molle Island and several other islands in one view, it was really nice. It was a worthwhile extra 40 minutes hike. I ended the trip with a smile!
Well guys that was my small tiny update for now. I have lots of adventures to tell you, but I'm behind writing my diary. So no stories for now anymore.
I'm in Cairns now and will go to Perth on Saturday.
Hope you are all good and talk to you later!!
